Encaustic Archives

This gallery is a selection of earlier work created within the past 20 years. All of these paintings are encaustic and oil paint, with some collage and photo transfer. Encaustic is a beeswax, pigment and damar resin paint that is applied molten, then cools and can be layered, scrapped, and gauged, creating depth.
