THESE SMALL AND AFFORDABLE PAINTINGS - CURRENTLY SOLD OUT
Painting small allows me to move quickly and simply to completion, and it offers paintings to buyers who might not have the funds for larger work.
Many of these paintings were created while on artist residencies around the world, where I can respond immediately to the environment and not be concerned with the practical issues of traveling with large and bulky supplies.

SOLAR PLATE ETCHINGS
PHOTOPOLYMER ETCHING MONOTYPES-

I love printmaking, especially Solar Plate or Photopolymer Etchings. The image is created on a transparency film, then exposed on to a light sensitive plate, which etches the image on to the surface. The plate is then inked up and run through the etching press with high quality printmaking paper. I often roll ink on the surface of the plate, or add collaged papers (chine colle) before printing to create one of a kind monotypes.

PAINTINGS ON PAPER
MIXED MEDIA PAINTINGS ON PAPER - SUITABLE FOR MATTING AND FRAMING.
Painting on paper is a great alternative to panel and when framed with a warm white mat, makes for a beautiful presentation. I use 140lb Arches archival hot press paper which has a lovely smooth body. The paintings have a small border that looks great floated or matted. I also paint on Japanese Yupo paper, a synthetic paper that doesn't warp and buckle. These Yupo paintings go right to the edge of the paper.

PAINTINGS ON PANEL
MIXED MEDIA PAINTINGS ON 2" PANELS - READY FOR HANGING.
Painting on panels allows me to get really physical with the surface, building up textures and layers to create depth and complexity. I can also work larger. These paintings are all on 2" cradled wood panels. They are ready to hang so no framing necessary. The sides are painted black for a clean and contemporary look.
